KBDFANS / THE BUYING GUIDE
KBDfans product
labels, explained.
A small badge can tell you a lot. Here’s how to read the labels on our store—and what Pre-order means when it appears in a product option.
01 / PRODUCT FORMAT
What are you buying?
These labels describe the build, rather than its shipping date.
A finished keyboard.
An assembled keyboard, rather than a kit you need to build. Check the listing for included switches, keycaps, and configuration.
Ready to use describes the product when it arrives. It does not promise immediate dispatch.
Your build starts here.
A kit that requires assembly. Contents vary: switches, keycaps, a PCB, or a plate may need to be selected or purchased separately.
Always read “What’s included?” for the exact kit.
02 / AVAILABILITY & PROGRESS
Where is it in the process?
A release to watch
A release is planned for later. Follow the project announcement for its opening date and how it will be sold.
Order ahead
Purchase before regular fulfillment, such as an upcoming release or restock. Read the listing’s estimated shipping window.
Orders are open
The group buy is accepting orders for a batch delivered later. Check its closing date, estimated timeline, and terms.
Manufacturing underway
The project is being produced. Check the selected variant and latest updates for its availability and timing.
Also see Interest Check? It gathers interest before a potential release. Follow the announcement for whether and when orders open.
03 / THE OPTION MATTERS
Why does a color say
Pre-order?
Availability can differ between colors or configurations of the same product. A [Pre-order] prefix means that specific selection is a pre-order, even if the product also has a Ready to use label.
Check the option you intend to buy, its estimated timing, and the Group Buy (Pre-Order) Policy. If the details are unclear, ask support before checkout.
